What the research measures
These reports analyze the same public inventory used by the state, city, and club guides. Named clubs and unnamed OpenStreetMap court features are counted separately, while operating status, coaching, setting, and court-count statistics use only records where the relevant field is actually known.
Every report states its snapshot date and sample size. That matters because a directory changes when a court opens, a project is delayed, or a mapped feature is matched to a public operator. The methodology section explains which conclusions apply to the full directory and which apply only to verified profiles.
