PadelGrids

Data & methodology

PadelGrids combines OpenStreetMap court features, public club websites, court-builder installation lists, and public web discovery. Records are normalized and deduplicated before they enter the directory.

Three publication levels

A verified profile requires a named club, a usable location, and first-party evidence for the facts displayed. A named directory listing can appear on a state or city guide when a public club or map source establishes that the venue exists. An unnamed OpenStreetMap court feature appears only as a mapped court and is never promoted to a named business.

Field-level restraint

Court count, setting, coaching, access model, booking platform, hours, pricing, amenities, accessibility, and opening status are shown only when the source supports them. Missing data stays missing. We do not infer prices from a club's branding, assume that a booking listing means a venue is open, or merge court counts across multiple locations.

Evidence-bound extraction

First-party pages are checked for structured and unstructured facts. Automated extraction may help identify a candidate value, but every accepted field must include a short exact quote from the specific club-controlled page, pass field-specific validation, and avoid conflicting with an existing verified value. Conflicts enter a review queue instead of publishing automatically. “Checked” records when the practical-detail sources were reviewed; “verified” is reserved for the stricter operating-status check.

Dates and changes

Verified profiles show the date they were checked. Directory snapshots also have a publication date. Because hours, prices, construction schedules, and booking rules change quickly, visitors should confirm trip-critical details with the linked official source.

Licensing and reviews

Court location data includes © OpenStreetMap contributors under the ODbL. PadelGrids may display an aggregate rating or review count with a source link, but does not republish review text. Booking links are link-outs; booking-platform inventory is not scraped.
